To update the bathrooms for contemporary demands while adhering to the integrity of the building, the products selected need to convey the modern ideals of its architecture and be accessible and inclusive. The linear and structural design of the wall-hung basins and the soft curves and stacked volumes of the Roca Rimless® wall-hung WC evoke timeless simplicity and the modernist ideals of Sert’s building. To accommodate all users, the Access collection was another essential product added into the bathrooms, including the Access WC seat and cover, comfort tilting mirror, grab bars and folding shower seat. The inclusion of public wall-mounted towel dispensers and waste bins enhanced the functionality of the space.

Designed by Ennead Architects with Thomas Wong, the Shanghai Astronomy Museum combines scientific and cultural symbolism. Roca’s bathroom products were chosen for their clean, modern design and ability to withstand constant use in public spaces. The Gap WCs, Site urinals, Chic urinals concealed inlet, L20-E basin mixers and Berna undercounter basins offer a perfect balance of durability and style. The sensor-operated faucets and urinals provide a touch-free experience, improving hygiene and reducing water consumption at the same time. These features ensure that the bathrooms meet both the museum’s aesthetic standards and the practical requirements of maintaining a clean, durable space in high-traffic areas.

The pavilion at Expo 2020 combined bold, colourful design with innovation and sustainability, showcasing Roca’s advanced bathroom solutions. Vibrant cones provided functional cooling, while Roca’s Inspira and Beyond WCs complemented the pavilion’s flowing forms and sustainability goals with water-saving technology. Inside, Inspira basins, Luna and Iridia mirrors, and Wing urinal partitions echoed the pavilion’s playful yet sophisticated aesthetic. Products like the EP1 electronic dual flush plate and Avant self-closing faucet highlighted Roca’s commitment to water efficiency, blending seamlessly with the pavilion’s circular economy principles and human-centric design philosophy.

Roca was chosen by the organisers of the Olympic Games because its products meet strict requirements in terms of water conservation. Accommodation in the Olympic Village, home to the 16,000 athletes who took part in the 2008 Olympic Games, is characterised by the use of renewable energy, including solar power to provide some of the lighting, and the collection and recycling of rainwater.

Roca's Khroma and Hall collections, energy-efficient Loft-E faucets, and Oslo compact WCs and Euret urinals were chosen for their distinctive designs and durability ideal for high-traffic areas. Combining aesthetic appeal with resilience and efficiency, these products met the demands of one of the world's most important events in a densely populated country.

In 2024, Roca is an official sponsor of Alinghi Red Bull Racing for the 37th America’s Cup in Barcelona. The headquarters are located at the city’s Port Vell, or Old Port, and feature some of Roca’s innovative products including water-saving faucets, operating plates and smart showers. Integrated with Roca Connect, the Loft Connect electronic faucets, PL10 Connect dual flush operating plates and Smart Showers, are smart bathroom solutions that allow real-time control and monitoring, promoting efficient water management, enhanced user satisfaction and reduced maintenance costs. For maximum accessibility and comfort, the hospitality bathrooms feature grab bars and a wall-hung Stonex® basin from the Access range, Ona’s compact wall-hung WC and the Eidos mirror, as well as accessories from the Public and Superinox collections designed for intensive use.

The upgraded toilets feature Roca’s Hall and Beyond collections, which provide adaptable solutions for high-traffic areas, and L20 faucets with water-saving technology. The elegant Chic urinals are paired with Sentronic electronic urinal flushing systems, offering touch-free convenience for maximum hygiene. The Access collection improves accessibility for all visitors, creating a welcoming environment for all.

With a capacity of 42.968 people, it will also be capable of hosting other events such as shows, exhibitions and trade fairs.
